1. A Galilean fisherman in partnership with his brother Andrew, and with James and John, Zebedee’s sons (Matthew 4:18; Mark 1:16; Luke 5:10);
2. From Bethsaida, a town in Galilee (John 1:44)
3. Called by Jesus Christ as a disciple (Matthew 4:18; Mark 1:16)
4. Renamed "Peter", ("Cephas", meaning "rock") by Jesus Christ (Mark 3:16)
5. Witnessed and was moved by a miraculous catch of fish (Luke 5:8)
6. Listed first among the twelve apostles (Matthew 10:2; Mark 3:16; Luke 6:14)
7. Pointed out to Jesus the crowd surrounding him, when Jesus asked “Who touched me?”  (Luke 8:45)
8. Witnessed Jesus raising the daughter of Jairus, with James and John (Mark 5:37; Luke 8:51)
9. Witnessed the miracle of Jesus walking on the water (Matthew 14:28; John 6:68)
10. Asked to walk on the water, faltered while doing so, and was saved by Jesus (Matthew 14:29)
11. Asked Jesus to clarify his teaching on ritual defilement (Matthew 15:15)
12. Confessed Jesus to be Christ (Matthew 16:16; Mark 8:29; Luke 9:20)
13. Was rebuked by Jesus for his response to Jesus’ first prediction of his upcoming death (Matthew 16:22; Mark 8:32)

67. Peter was the second disciple called by Jesus, after his brother, Andrew.
68. Peter's name appears first in the scripture's list of the twelve disciples.
69. Peter was entrusted with "the keys to the Kingdom" by Jesus.
70. He was a prominent leader in the Jerusalem church, after Christ's crucifixion and resurrection.
71. He is referred to as "the Prince of the Apostles."
72. He is believed by many to have founded the Church at Rome and served as its first bishop.
73. As such, the Roman Catholic tradition refers to Peter as the first Pope.
74. Peter was married, though his wife's name does not appear in scripture.
75. Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law, at Peter's home in Capernaum.
76. 1 Peter and 2 Peter are general epistles, letters written to various gatherings of Christians. 
77. Some contemporary scholars dispute Peter’s authorship of the epistles bearing his name.

80. Was martyred in Rome around 68 AD. 
81. Those who dispute Peter’s authorship of 1 and 2 Peter point to a date close to the end of the 1st Century AD.

83. His hometown was Bethsaida, on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.
84. He accompanied Jesus to Jerusalem.
85. He was forced to flee Jerusalem after being freed from prison and certain execution there by an angel.

87. He went to Lydda, where Jesus Christ healed Aeneas through him.
88. He went to Joppa, where Jesus Christ raised the widow Dorcas through him.
89. He appears in Antioch in Paul’s letter to the Galatians.
90. He writes 1 Peter from “Babylon,” commonly understood as a euphemism for Rome.
91. In 1 Peter, he addresses “strangers” in the churches of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, all of which were Roman territories in what is now Turkey. 
92. Tradition holds that Peter was martyred in Rome.
